Multitudes of saints and angels surrounding the holy mountain in glorious array

Glorious Array

The Vision

While I was in a time of prayer in the spirit, in the end of February, the Lord showed me a vision of a multitude of people and of angels surrounding a certain mountain from its floor.

On the top of the mountain there was a light that began to gradually shine then dim like a fire that shines and, although slightly dims, keeps on shining. This can also be likened to slowly moving the light slider up and down in a room. There was darkness all around, but when the light began to gradually shine, it lit up everything around it, not just the floor, but the sky as well, as if it were a type of sun.

They were all dressed in ordinary garments, then as the light shone, their garments were increasingly irradiating as well. Every creature around the mountain was in continual motion towards its peak, where the light shines, in glorious array.

The multitude of angels and saints worshiping the Lord around the holy mountain in glorious array.

This image represents the vision that the Lord had shown me that late February evening.

That light is the splendor of the face of Yahovah (The Lord).

The mountain represents both the holy mountain of God and the throne of God.

The word presence in Hebrew is panym, which literally means “face” and “countenance.”

The Song That Holy Spirit Sang in Me

Shortly after that vision, God downloaded this phrase into my heart via this song to describe what He would a few days later show me in that vision:

Every eye behold the beauty of Your face, as angels stand around You in glorious array.

What Is Glorious Array?

“Glorious” is defined as beautiful, amazing, wonderful, full of praise.

It is a beautiful thing when all of us saints of God gather together in one accord with all the hosts of Heaven to worship Him in spirit and truth.

When we wait on the Lord and come into His presence, rendering unto Him glory and honor, He will show Himself in a mighty, glorious way.

“Array” can be defined as a collection or group of things arranged in a special way, often neatly or beautifully, or – in this case – gloriously.

Glorious Array in the Word

Passage #1

Isaiah 61:10 – I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, and my soul shall be joyful in my God: for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, and covered me with the robe of righteousness: He has decked me like a bridegroom, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Since we’re redeemed, God has substituted the spiritual nudity of our sin, our shame, and our guilt with the garments of righteousness, salvation, and mercy by the love of the Lord Jesus Christ; and through His blood, we have been cleansed and made whiter than snow! Now that is definitely worth the great rejoicing!

Passage #2

Luke 12:27 – Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

God made even the flowers and the plants so simply, yet so beautifully; all of God’s creation is arrayed in His glory!

Passage #3

Ezekiel 1:28 – As the likeness of the rainbow, that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the light round about. This was the appearance of the similitude of the glory of the Lord: and when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.

The glory of God is an awe-inspiring and radiant array of colors and brilliance. None of us would be able to contain ourselves in His presence – we would come crashing down and disintegrating. His glory transforms and puts us in order!

Passages #4-5

Psalm 27:4 – "One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek, inquire for, and insistently require: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord in His presence all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to meditate, consider, and inquire in His temple."

Isaiah 6:1–3 – "Above him were seraphim... calling to one another: 'Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.'"

God has created us with the ultimate aim of the praise of His glorious grace! To be in the manifest presence of God ought to always be the number one thing that we seek in life!

It Is Glorious to Worship the Lord and Seek His Face!

Glorious array not only describes the gathering together of the saints and the angels in harmonious praise & worship to Yahovah, but also the holiness and splendor of the presence of God, the sheer purity and righteousness that is only found in Him, and the perfection of His wisdom and love.

Think about this: The angels and the saints both in Heaven and on Earth standing neatly and beautifully, shining brightly rendering praise & worship unto Yahovah. Soldiers of the army of King Jesus lined up neatly with shiny armor and banners, looking amazing. A field of flowers, every color perfectly arranged and looking beautiful. The stars shining, exploding, and dashing through the sky. This is all a glorious array!

As you listen to this song, you can place yourself in the glorious array of the multitudes of saints and angels as you worship Adonai in spirit and in truth, and remember just how awesome and glorious Jesus is!
